Boards will, at that time, reevaluate the basis for allocation ofcontributions among the Parties. "rile Fund <br />will be used exclusively by the Department to provide the Services, including Department payroll. <br />Subject to those conditions contained below, each fiscal year the Fund will receive allocations from each <br />Board based upon a per pupil amotr►nt agreed upon by the Parties, multiplied by the number of pupils in <br />each Board's school system. In each fiscal year, each Board shall pay to the Fund that amount equal to <br />the per pupil annount agreed to by the Boards each fiscal year, multiplied by the ADM Number of pupils <br />in their respective school systems. Kannapolis' payment contribution to the Fund shall include the same <br />per pupil amount for each pupil who resides in Rowan County. <br />� h Fmd allocations iron' each Board will be divided into the following categories: <br />(a Grounds and Ma S ervices . Por each fiscal year of this Agreement, the amount <br />allocated to the Fund for Grounds and Maintenance Services shall be a minimum of $1,532,584.00. <br />W 3ased upon the ADM Numbers of 29,268 (87.8 %) students in the County Schools and 4,067 (12.2 %) <br />students in Kannapolis City Schools that reside in Cabarrus County for tite 2011 -2012 school year, the <br />Cabarrus Board shall allocate a nnininnum of }0 and the Kannapolis Board shall allocate a <br />1 X43, 7O.fX� mininuun of $238,864.00. T neT coritrrbutions of each Board may increase in subsequent years, but in no <br />event will it fall below the minimum amount established herein <br />(b) Buildin and Facilities For each fiscal year of this Agreement, the amount allocated to <br />the Fund for Building and Facilities Services shall be a minimum of $6,564,958.00. Based upon the <br />ADM Numbers of 29,268 (87.8 %) students in the County School and 4,067 (12.2 %) students in <br />Kannapolis City Schools that reside in Cabarrus County for the 2011 -2012 school year, the Cabarrus <br />Board shall allocate a minimum of $5,541,763.00 and the Kannapolis Board shall allocate a minimum of <br />$1,023,195.00. Furthermore, the Boards and the County agree that: (i) in the event square footage in <br />School buildings increases, the Board and the County will reevaluate the finding needs for the Buildings <br />and Facilities Services, taking into consideration such increased square footage, regardless of whether <br />ADM Numbers increase, and (ii) in the event the County consolidates its maintenance and repair staff <br />into the Department, the Boards and the County will at that time, reevaluate the method used for <br />determining funding contributions of each Party, taking into consideration square Footage and traffic <br />considerations among other items. <br />(c) Schedule The attached Schedule I also sets forth total School Facility building space <br />and total School Facility grounds, which shall be amended from time to time to incorporate changes in <br />such figures. <br />(d) School Park Fa cilities. Implementation of this Agreement is contingent upon the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners allocating funds in each fiscal year's Annual Budget. This <br />allocation will be utilized exclusively for maintenance and repairs to School Park Facilities on Cabarrus <br />County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools sites. The Cabarrus County Schools Director of Finance <br />will maintain the Fund and a report will be issued quarterly showing all disbursements. Parks and <br />Recreation will be provided the account balance and other details regarding this account at any time upon <br />request. If the cost of repairs on any individual work order exceeds $2,000.00, the Director will notify the <br />Director of Parks and Recreation. Once the remaining budget balance reaches $5,000.00 or less, the <br />Director will advise the Director of Parks and Recreation so that additional funds can be requested if <br />needed prior to the end of the fiscal year. <br />10. ACCOUNTING The Cabarrus Board Finance Department will be responsible for <br />establishing flour separate internal accounting categories and will keep separate records for the announts <br />spent for Services provided to each of the Cabarrus Board and the Kannapolis Board with regard to <br />Building and Facilities Services and GPOmnds and Maintenance Services.
