3. Operate and maintain a comprehensive web site showcasing available <br />County properties. <br />4. Develop new businesses by using targeted industry list and making <br />regular economic development business contacts. These contacts <br />will be generated by no fewer than 12 business development sales <br />trips. <br />5. Compile and maintain a list of available properties in Cabarrus County <br />suitable for Class A office and Research & Development space. <br />6. Compile and maintain list of Charlotte area office space and business <br />park developers and use list for contacts to actively promote <br />Cabarrus County as a location for such activity. <br />B. Oversight of the CORE SERVICES and MARKETING and RECRUITMENT <br />SERVICES <br />1. The EDC Board shall approve all promotional and marketing materials <br />before publication. <br />2. The annual business plan, including a marketing plan, is subject to <br />review and approval by the EDC Board. <br />3. When deemed necessary to take advantage of marketing opportunities <br />and /or other opportunities to advance Cabarrus County as a <br />location site for a specific project, the EDC may request an <br />alteration in the business plan subject to approval by the EDC <br />Board. <br />C. The EDC agrees to follow the funding guidelines listed below <br />1. County funds shall be used by the EDC solely for the above stated <br />purposes and will be accounted for so that use can be reported and <br />audited. <br />2. Funding is contingent upon the EDC maintaining a budget separate <br />from the Chamber of Commerce that is controlled and accounted <br />for separately by the EDC Board. All EDC revenues will be used <br />for EDC services only. <br />D. The EDC agrees to perform the following "Other Duties and Conditions" <br />1. The EDC will provide quarterly reports to the local governments <br />contributing funds to support its operation prior to the following <br />dates: October 30, 2010 and January 31, 2011, April 30, 2011 and <br />the annual report by August 31, 2011. <br />2. All publications, materials, computer databases, site and building <br />inventories or other information or materials produced as part of <br />this program, excluding information of a confidential nature <br />regarding real estate and business identities or reproduction of <br />custom photography without prior consent of appropriate parties, <br />may be used by the municipalities and county for other purposes <br />without additional compensation to the EDC.
