Tarheel Organic Reprocessing <br />and Cabarrus LCID Landfill facilities compost and <br />mulch yard waste under active Treatment and <br />Processing permits ( #13 -E and #13F, respectively). <br />The municipalities reported collection of 9,661 tons <br />of yard waste in FY 2008. It is unclear how much <br />yard waste and vegetative matter from site clearing <br />ended up in the County LCID landfill since the <br />State does not track this information. <br />3.2 Solid Waste Disposition <br />Based on a review of facility reports provided to <br />the DWM and reports provided by the local <br />jurisdictions, approximately 320,186 tons of MSW <br />was generated in Cabarrus County in FY 2007- <br />2008.
