The raising or lowering of the salary grade for one or more classes of <br />positions within the classification plan. <br />(~tt) Position. A group of current duties and responsibilities, assigned by a competent <br />authority, requiring the full or part-time employment of one person. "The existence of a <br />position or its identity does not depend upon its being occupied by an employee. <br />(eu) Probational Employyec. The reassignment of an existing position from one class to another, based <br />on changes in job content such as duty, difficulty, required skills and/or responsibility of the <br />work performed. <br />(sy) Re ular Employee. An employee in a regular position who has completed-a~-le~r~) <br />, cr , <br />t~tsnths their probationary period, and has been approved for continuing employment by the <br />department head and the appointing authority. <br />(tz) Regular Position. A position approved by the Board of Conunissioners in which the duties <br />and responsibilities are required on a continuous and annually rectn•ring -basis, requiring <br />either the full-time or part- time employment of an individual. <br />(uaa) Salaty Grade. The range of pay to which all sufficiently comparable positions are <br />assigned. <br />(vbb) Salary Range.
