Vacation Leave All regular and probationary employees who are. scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours during the calendar year shall receive vacation leave in accordance with this policy. Vacation Leave - Manner of fleettt-rtttnt-iett Accrual The anniversary date of employment shall be used for determining earned vacation leave. Any employee working the basic workweek shall earn vacation leave at the following rates: Schedule A Years of A~grceate Service Hours >Jarned Bi-weekly Leave }yarned Yearly Less than 5 years 3 hours 4 minutes ~ 37 seconds 80 hours c~ 2 seconds (10+ clays) 5 but less than 10 years 4 hours 104 hours (13 days) 10 but less than 15 years 4 hours 3G minutes ~ 55 seconds 119 hours 59 minutes ~ 50 seconds (I S-days) 15 but less than 20 years 5 hours 13 minutes ~ 51 seconds 13G hours ~ 6 seconds (17+ days} 20 years or more 6 hours 9 minutes 8~ 14 seconds 1 GO hours ~ 4 seconds (20+ days) Schedule A is for all persons hired or rehired on July 1, 1997, or thereafter; and those in full time County employment immediately prior to that date who voluntarily chose to change from Schedule B effective, July 1, 1997, under the following conditions: • County paid health plan and life insurance coverage will be provided to employees retiring from Cabarrus County and qualifying for retirement as a member of the North Carolina Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System with at least 25 of their creditable years being in the service of Cabarrus County. These benefits will be paid at the same level as for active employees and will be provided to retired employees until they become eligible for Medicare (or reach the age where they would have had such benefits if they had been qualified for Social Security). The retiree is required to notify the County when they become Medicare eligible.
