The following municipalities provide services that maybe directly <br />t impacted during an emergency and could be expanded to meet emergency requirements: <br />(1) City of Concord -Law Enforcement, Fire and Life Safety, Electric <br />' Utilities (ElectraCities Member), Public Works, Sanitation and Recycling {Contracted), <br />Communications, Airport Operations, Parks and Recreation, Public Housing, Community <br />Development. <br />' {2) City of Kannapolis -Law Enforcement, Fire and Life Safety, Public <br />Works, Sanitation and Recycling (Contracted), Communications, City Schools, Parks and <br />' Recreation. <br />(3) Town of Han7sburg -Fire and Life Safety, Water and Sewer, <br />' Sanitation and Recycling (Contracted), Street Maintenance. Law~Enforcement is provided <br />tluough the Cabarrus County Sheriff s Department <br />' (4) Town of Mt. Pleasant -Fire and Life Safety, Water & Sewer, <br />Sanitation and Recycling (Contracted), Street Maintenance. Law Enforcement is provided <br />through the Cabarrus County Sheriff s Department <br />' (5) Town of Midland -contracts for services with Cabarrus County or <br />other contractors. Public Safety is provided by the volunteer fire department and law <br />enforcement is provided tluough the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department <br />' 2. The major traffic arteries are: <br />a. Interstate Highway I-85: runs northeast-southwest thraugh northwest section <br />' of the caunty. <br />b.
