f. Durizig recovery operations, conduct fire inspections of vital facilities and <br />shelter sites. <br />g. Supervises the County Radiological Monitoring Officer (RMO) during any <br />emergency situation involving radioactive materials. <br />h. Develops a Radiological Protection System in accordance with <br />Federal/State laws and guidelines. Establish a distribution system for radiological <br />protection equipment. <br />i. Ensures that the RMO conducts annual training of key personnel involved <br />with radiological monitoring or response. <br />k. During an emergency situation involving the McGuire Nuclear Power <br />Station the County Radiological Monitoring Officer will: <br />(1} Establish and operate the County Reception Center. <br />(2) Provide radiological monitoring support to hazardous materials <br />response teams as needed. <br />{3) Coordinate with the Public Information Officer (PIO} to prepare <br />information briefings ~dwing radiological emergencies. <br />8. County Emergency Medical Services Director <br />a. Develop procedures for the dispatch and operations of emergency medical <br />services (EMS) units during emergency situations. Coordinate on-scene patient care and <br />evacuation with other county and municipal emergency response organizations. <br />b. Develop mutual aid agreements with surrounding counties to supplement <br />local emergency medical services support during emergency situations. <br />c. Develop policy and procedures for the treatment, evacuation, and <br />decontamination of casualties resulting from accidents involving radiological or <br />hazazdous materials. <br />d. Coordinate with Carolinas Medical Center- Northeast disaster committee on <br />the use of medical facilities during mass casualty incidents. <br />-' e. During emergency situations, establish a liaison with Carolinas Medical <br />Center- Northeast and maintain communications with other emergency response units in <br />the field.
