i <br />c. Provide shuttle service for key personnel during emergency periods, as <br />needed. <br />d. Coordinate and direct transportation operations, Coordinate with law <br />enforcement and other emergency services to identify transportation routes, for drivers. <br />e. Transport supplies and equipment from the County Receiving and <br />Distribution Point to locations designated by the Emergency Management Coordinator. <br />e. Report to the Emergency Operations Center upon activation. The Director, <br />Public Transportation is assigned to the Resource Group. <br />17. North Carolina Cooperative Extension Agent <br />a. Act as liaison to the agricultural community during the emergency period. <br />Maintain contact with the N.C. State University Cooperative Extension Service <br />representative at the State Emergency Operations Center. In the event of a nuclear <br />material release, report to the Emergency Operations Center to advise the Emergency <br />Management Coordinator on possible impacts on agriculture. <br />b. Assist sampling teams operating in the county during radiological or <br />l ~ hazardous materials incidents that would affect livestock or crops. <br />c. Provide trained personnel to assist agricultural damage assessment teams in <br />the county. <br />d. Assist the Emergency Management Coordinator in identifying and <br />coordinating assistance needed by farmers/agricultural workers during recovery <br />operations. <br />e. Coordinate release of information with the Public Information O~'ficer and <br />the Cabarrus Health Alliance. <br />18. Animal. Control Officers (Sheriffs Department) <br />a. Provide animal control facilities and equipment to care for domestic <br />animals belonging to people evacuated to public shelters. <br />b. Advise the Emergency Management Coordinator on all issues dealing with <br />animal control during emergency situations. <br />c. Request assistance from the local humane society and the Cabarrus County <br />l Animal Response Team Coordinate this support with the overall animal control plan. <br />l d.
