Provide shelter for pets and livestock at the animal control facility or other <br />facilities provided by private agencies or citizens. <br />f Control and assist personnel reentering damaged/hazardous areas to feed <br />livestock and other animals left behind during evacuations. <br />19. Solid Waste Management. <br />a. During the recovery operations following an emergency, prepare to accept <br />debris at local landfill sites. Provide personnel and equipment to reduce the debris to <br />manageable loads. Ad}ust hours of operation of the landfill as needed. <br />b. Dispose of debris collected during recovery at the landfill. Coordinate for <br />additional support for this task with the Emergency Management Coordinator. <br />20. Cabarrus Arena and Events Center <br />a. Prepare the facility for emergency operations. Be prepared to evacuate <br />personnel and their equipment from the facility if necessary to clear the site. <br />b. Assist in establishing the County Receiving and Distribution Point and the <br />donated goods management area at the Events Center. Provide forklift and operators to <br />assist when the CRDP is operational and prepare to provide communications support as <br />needed by the CRDP staff. Operate and maintain fixed generators to provide emergency power to the <br />d. This will require the floor space to be clear of all <br />equipment, displays, etc to permit the use of cots, hospital beds, medical equipment, etc. <br />e. Clear the Fair Midway area of all equipmment, vehicles and personnel in <br />order to establish a helicopter landing zone. <br />21. Other County Government Departments and Agencies. Those <br />departments not specifically tasked in this plan will assist county response and recovery <br />operations as directed by the county manager. This support will include all personnel, <br />equipment and facilities available.
