Identify evacuees within Red Cross shelters with special medical needs and <br />notify the Department of Social Services, who will move these evacuees to a special <br />needs shelter. Provide trained personnel to advise and assist DSS personnel on basic <br />shelter operations. Provide basic equipment to special medical needs shelters as <br />available. <br />d. Assist county damage assessment activities if needed. <br />e. Report to the Emergency Operations Center upon activation. The Red <br />Cross representative is assigned to the Operations Group. <br />3. Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />a. Control the system accumulating and treating wastewater. <br />b. Maintain and make available equipment to support emergency response <br />operations (backhoes, generators, etc.). <br />c. Advise the Emergency Management Coordinator on the status of the water <br />supply, water storage areas and treatment facilities. <br />d.' If needed, provide a liaison officer to the County EOC for the duration of <br />the emergency. <br />4. Cabarrus County Amateur Radio Emergency Service <br />a. Coordinate with the Sheriff s Department Communications Lieutenant to <br />provide supplemental radio communications during emergency operations. <br />b. Provide amateur radio support for outlying areas and American Red Cross <br />shelters. <br />c. Provide back-up communications in case of failure of County <br />Communications system. <br />d. Report to the Emergency Operations Center upon activation. <br />5. Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare <br />a. Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare (PBH) is the regional mental health care <br />management authority that coordinates mental health care for Cabarrus, Davidson, <br />Rowan, Stanly, and Union Counties. Cabarrus County Government is required to provide <br />mental health care for county residents.
