1
' Classification. This task assumes that four undisturbed and two bag samples w ill be collected
and analyzed.
Task 3.4 - Piezometer Slug Testing
Five slug tests will be performed at selected piezometers to provide data on the in-situ
' horizontal hydraulic conductivity. Both slug-in (Falling Head) and slug-out (Rising Head) tests
will be performed on each well.
' Task 3.5 -Boring Location Survey
The locations and elevation of alI the new piezometers will be surveyed by a Registered Land
Surveyor. In order to expedite completion of the Site and Design Hydrogeologic Study, CDM
will retain the services of a land surveyor to provide coordinates and elevations for each of the
borings completed. The surveying budget for this task is based on an estimated boring plan. If
additional surveying services are found to be necessary, they would be handled under a
separate authorization.
Task 3.6 -Preparation of Site Hydrogeologic Report
CDM will prepare the Geological and Hydrogeologic Report summarizing the results of the
t geologic and hydrogeologic investigation upon the completion of all field work for
determination of Site Suitability of potential future expansion areas of the landfill. The report
will address the geologic and hydrogeologic investigation requirements of Rule .0538(a)(1
through 13}.The report will include boring logs, cross-sections, a potentiometric contour map,
and a bedrock contour map.
Task 3.7 - Preparation of Design Hydrogeologic Report
Concurrent with the Site Hydrogeologic Report, CDIbi will prepare the Geological and
Hydrogeologic Report for inclusion in the Piggyback Landfill Expansion Permit to Construct,
summarizing the results of the geologic and hydrogeologic investigationupontbe completion of
all field work described in Tasks 3.2 through 3.5. The report will address the geologic and
hydrogeologic investigation requirements of Rule .0538(b}(1 and 2). The report will include a
' discussion of the investigation and provide the technical information necessary to determine the
design of the monitoring system for the landfill in addition to; boring Logs, rock core
descriptions, a potentiometric contour map and long-term potentiometric contours estimates,
' and a bedrock contour map.
TASK 4 -FACILITY PLAN
' CDM will prepare a Facility Plan for the proposed Cabarrus County C&D Landfill facility
property in accordance with Rules .0535(a)(1)(A) and .0537. The Facility Plan will define the
comprehensive development of the property proposed for permitting. The Facility Plan will
' include a set of drawings and a report, which present the Long-term general design concepts
related to construction, operation, and closure of the C&D landfill.
' Task 4.1-Facility Drawings
CDM will prepare the following Facility Drawings as required under Rule .0537(d):
' ^ Site Development Sheet 1 will contain a topographical survey of the entire site
representative of existing site conditions locating all property boundaries for the
proposed landfill facility certified by an individual licensed to practice land surveying in
5
Item# 9
Attachment number 1
F-5
