CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 2/5/07 <br />Agenda Item # - ~ ~p <br />SUBJECT: <br />Stream Restoration Project off Harris Road <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP) has proposed a stream restoration <br />project for a section of stream between Harris Road Middle School and the elementary <br />school being constructed to replace Odell Elementary. The property is owned by Cabarrus <br />County. The project will entail returning the stream to its natural layout, elimination of <br />non-native plants, and re-planting. EEP will be responsible for all work and for <br />maintenance of the project for the first five years.
