CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 9/17/07 Agenda Item # ~-~3 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Approval of Service Agreement with Cabarrus County Schools for the Provision of School <br />Resource Officers <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />This Agreement stipulates the terms for the Sheriff to provide School Resource Officers <br />(SROs) to Cabarrus County Schools through 2012. For FY 2008, the Sheriff will provide <br />six officers (3 to high schools and 3 to middle schools) and receive reimbursement of <br />$113,514 for the three high school SROs. The SROs for the middle schools will be <br />provided as an in-kind contribution.
