Medical care provided to any Inmate as a result of hospitalization; <br /> <br />b. Ordinary expenses for Inlilate medical care including all expenses for any <br />illness as an outpatient or in-patient of the Center Infirmary (See Medical <br />Agreement between Alamance and Cabarrus County). <br /> <br />c. The eQst of replacing eyeglasses and dental prosthetic devices. <br />Repl~ement will be made only if the Inmate was using the damaged or <br />lost eyeglasses or dental device at the time of commitment to the Center, <br />the eY41glasses or dental devices are broken or lost while the Inmate is <br />incarcerated at the Center, and only upon prior approval of Cab arms <br />Count)' (per Medical Agreement between Alamance and Cabarrus.) <br /> <br />4. Limitation on Number of Inmates. The limitations on the number of inmates <br />housed under .this agreement shall refer to the total number of inmates present at <br />the AlamanceCounty facility within any twenty-four (24) hour period during this <br />agreement. Cabarrus County shall be permitted to house not more than forty (40) <br />Inmates under this agreement for 1 year beginning January 9, 2006 through <br />January 8,2097. (The Alamance County Sheriff has agreed to at least a second <br />year agreeme~t, to be reevaluated after the frrst year. The reevaluation will <br />require a secqnd year agreement addressing any changes that may need to be <br />addressed. These options will be discussed between Alamance County Sheriff <br />and CabarrusCounty Sheriff just prior to the first year completion date.) <br /> <br />5. Restrictions on Inmate OtTenseslMedical Condition. Inmates housed in <br />Alamance Co~ty Detention Center must be felony pretrial confinement (unless <br />otherwise autporized by the Alamance County Sheriff). Felony pretrial <br />confinement lnmates will also be nonviolent offenders. In addition, Cabanus <br />County will ~ot transport any Inmate to the Center who has a serious medical <br />condition pretiously known to Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />6. Transportat...n of Inmates. The Cabarrus County Sheriff s Office shall be <br />responsible fqr transporting any Cabarrus County inmates to and from the Center. <br /> <br />7. Payment Te~ms. Each month, Cabarrus County will reimburse Alamance <br />County for up to forty (40) inmates at $50.00 each per day ($2,000.00 a day). <br />Alamance Cdunty shall invoice Cabarrus County for all costs and expenses <br />attributable t<l the Inmates by the fifteenth (1 511l) day of each month. Cabarrus <br />County shallj>ay such invoice by the last day of each month. <br /> <br />8. Removal of'isruptive Inmates. If in the opinion of the Alamance County <br />Sheriffs Offi:ce, any Inmate becomes unduly disruptive or becomes such a <br />disciplinary ~oblem as to interfere with the orderly operation of the Center, the <br />! <br /> <br />f'-21 <br />
