Minutes from March 17, 2005 Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes March 17.2005 Paoe 3 Mr. Larry Griffin, Vice Chairman, Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission. There being no corrections to the February 17, 2005 Minutes, Mr. Smith MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Moose to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. Old Business The Chair introduced the first item of old business on the Agenda, Zoning Atlas Amendment, Petition C05-02(R-CU): 1. Applicant: M~, Donald Misenheimer Request: Zqning Atlas Amendment Ms. Kassie Goodson, Planner addressed the Board stating she was here last month and presented this rezoning for Mr. Misenheimer. She said he has submitted a letter stating he wishes to reqiJest that his petition be tabled until next months meeting tp gather further information. Mr. Moose MOTIONEDf seconded by Mr. Starnes to Table Petition C05-02(R-SU) until next months meeting. The vote was unanimous. The Chair introduced the second item on the Agenda, Preliminary Subdivision Plat Approval, Petition ~05-05(S): 2. Applicant: M~rtingale Holdings II Request: Pr~liminary Subdivision Plat Approval Mr. Rodger Lentz, Plarning and Zoning Manager addressed the Board stating there is a letter in th~ir packets from Mr. John Robbins, President, Greathorn Properties, Inc. requesting to table this petition until the April 21, 2005 meeting. He said the applicant i$ considering increasing the lot size of many of the lots on the Jim Johnson Road! side of the development and correspondingly decreasing tb.eJQt.size of sOO1.~the lots on the Shiloh Church Road side. In this manner they would decrease t~e density and traffic exiting onto Jim Johnson Road. They have not confirmed t~eir ability to make these changes, but they are working through the design anid anticipate that they will be ready for the planning and zoning board review at: the April meeting.
