<br />Minutes from March 17, 2005 <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />March 17.2005 <br /> <br />Paoe 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Griffin, Vice Chairman, Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the February 17, 2005 Minutes, Mr. Smith <br />MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Moose to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote <br />was unanimous. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item of old business on the Agenda, Zoning Atlas <br />Amendment, Petition C05-02(R-CU): <br /> <br />1. Applicant: M~, Donald Misenheimer <br />Request: Zqning Atlas Amendment <br /> <br />Ms. Kassie Goodson, Planner addressed the Board stating she was here last <br />month and presented this rezoning for Mr. Misenheimer. She said he has <br />submitted a letter stating he wishes to reqiJest that his petition be tabled until <br />next months meeting tp gather further information. <br /> <br />Mr. Moose MOTIONEDf seconded by Mr. Starnes to Table Petition C05-02(R-SU) <br />until next months meeting. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the second item on the Agenda, Preliminary Subdivision <br />Plat Approval, Petition ~05-05(S): <br /> <br />2. Applicant: M~rtingale Holdings II <br />Request: Pr~liminary Subdivision Plat Approval <br /> <br />Mr. Rodger Lentz, Plarning and Zoning Manager addressed the Board stating <br />there is a letter in th~ir packets from Mr. John Robbins, President, Greathorn <br />Properties, Inc. requesting to table this petition until the April 21, 2005 meeting. <br />He said the applicant i$ considering increasing the lot size of many of the lots on <br />the Jim Johnson Road! side of the development and correspondingly decreasing <br />tb.eJQt.size of sOO1.~the lots on the Shiloh Church Road side. In this manner <br />they would decrease t~e density and traffic exiting onto Jim Johnson Road. They <br />have not confirmed t~eir ability to make these changes, but they are working <br />through the design anid anticipate that they will be ready for the planning and <br />zoning board review at: the April meeting. <br /> <br />G-8 <br />
