ALPHA will enforce that each client has the right to his or her own beliefs as long as the beliefs do not lead to <br />unlawful or harmful behavior towards those in society, family members or the clienl ALPHA will teach each client <br />how to recognize any unhealthy belief or standard that results in delinquent behavior and also how altering this belief <br />system can result in a more healthy life style, better interpersonal relationships, increased life opportunities and <br />overall well-being. This change can be accomplished by altering cognitive distortions that lead to dysfunctional pr <br />delinquent behavior. <br />2. ALPHA will also make the client and the family aware of all community resources that would be considered helpful in <br />the clients' treatment process and incorporate them where possible. <br />3. ALPHA will attempt to identify to the clienfs areas of personal strengths and weaknesses and how each of these can <br />be better utilized in the client's treatment process. <br /> <br />Areas of Concern Discuss anv areas of concern that could affect success. <br />1. Involvement of the parent is an area of concem. Many youth are in trouble because of lack of parental involvement <br />in their life. Without parental support, the program objectives may not be attained to the level desired. <br />2. Transportation is a problem for any child who does not drive or have a car. ALPHA is willing to set aside $400 for <br />public transportation for those who have no other alternative, however. each client is encouraged to work out <br />transportation if possible and leave the funds for public transportation to those with the greatest need. <br /> <br />Documentatron Listthe data elements or recordS to be maintained: A) in confidentia/files to document compliance and'8} <br />to document eech measurable ob/ective. <br />1. All clients will have a confidential file established at the time of referral. All subsequent contacts are followed up with <br /> individual notes reported by the therapist in charge of the client's case. . <br />2. The results of all assessments, testing, profiles, etc. will. be maintained in this confidential file. <br />3. A monthly report summary will be submitted to the appropriate court counselor andIor probation officer indicating the <br /> progress of the client in the ALPHA program. <br />4- Access to the therapist is available 00 an as needed basis by the client, parent, cowt counselor andlorprobation <br /> officer. <br />Treatment Element Describe what the component will do to redirect inappropriate youth behavior or how the component <br />. will ALPHA inappropriate behavior. . <br />Proper assessment of the client's behavior problem win help in identifying the root cause of the clieofs dysfunctional Qr <br />delinquent behavior.
