<br /> <br />CABARRUSCOUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD <br /> <br />JAIL ANNEX LOCATION <br /> <br />September 19, 2005 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />(or as soon thereafter as persons may be heard) <br /> <br />A period of 30 minutes has been scheduled during the meeting of the Cabarrus Connty Board of <br />Commissioners on Monday, September 19,2005, for the public to give input on the location of the <br />Connty's new jail annex. The annex, which is needed to relieve overcrowding in the current jail, is <br />planned near the intersection of Union Street and Corban Avenue. The Board has been asked to <br />consider requests to possibly relocate the jail annex on the proposed site to preserve the building <br />located at 125 Union Street, S, Concord. <br /> <br />The Board rneeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Cornmissioners' Meeting Room located on the <br />second floor of the Governmental Center, 65 Church Street SE, Concord, NC. The public is invited <br />to attend and make comments. Organizations are encouraged to select a spokesperson to speak on <br />behalf of their members. <br /> <br />J;"- I (b) <br />
