f., Asphalt in accordance with G.S. 130-294 9 (m);
d. Construction and Demolition Debris defined as solid waste resulting solely from construction,
remodeling, repair or demolition operations on pavement, buildings, or other structures; and,
~ C&D Like Wastes that are similar to wastes typically found in the land clearing-inert debris and
C&D waste streams consisting of roofing shingle waste from the manufacturer, waste building
materials from mobile nome/modular home manufacturers, and wooden pallets.

3. Using an annual waste disposal rate of 28,000 tons per year, and a calculated available disposal
capacity of 188,000 tons (313,000 cubic yards of available airspace), the estimated useful service life of tne
C&D Landfill Expansion is slightly less than seven (7) years. It is recognized that the amount of waste
received at the facility as well ~s the in-place compaction rate could vary significantly from these estimates
and thus the useful service life of the facility could be more. or less than projected.

By approving this resolution, certification is hereby made that the requirements of C.S. 153A-136 are not
applicable since this facility is not a sanitary landfill.

Adopted, this the

day of

.2005.

BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF CABARRUS

CHAIRPERSON

ATTEST:

CLERK TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

COUNTY OF CABARRUS

- "'"
1--- J ~
