PLEASANT F/D $0.00 <br />NORTHEAST F/D $2.47 <br />ODELL F/D $0.00 <br />POPLAR TENT F/D $0.00 <br />RICHFIELD F/D $0.00 <br />RIMER F/D $2.87 <br />WINECOFF F/D $0.00 <br /> <br />$1,123.11 <br /> <br />(F-10) Authorization to Submit Grant Requests (Land and Water Conservation Fund <br />Grant and Park and Recreation Trust Fund Grant) to Construct Pharr Mill Road Park <br /> <br />and the Park Master Plan <br /> <br /> U~ON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth with <br />Commissioners Privette and Carruth, Vice Chairman Suggs and Chairman Freeman <br />voting for and Commissioner Carpenter voting against, the Board authorized the <br />submission of applications for a matching $250,000.00 Land and Water Conservation <br />Fund Grant and a matching $250,000 00 Park and Recreation Trust Fund Grant to <br />construct Pharr Mill Road Park; adopted the following Resolutions relative to the <br />submission of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant; adopted the Resolution <br />set forth below approving the Park Master Plan for Pharr Mill Road Community Park <br />as submitted by the Parks and Recreation Department; and authorized the Chairman <br />to s~gn the Certification for the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund grant <br />application stating that the $250,000.00 matching funds wall be available during <br />the pro]ect perlod and to provide all other signatures necessary for the two <br />grant applications. <br /> <br /> Resolution No 2004-04 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND <br /> AVAILABILITY OF LOCAL MATCH FOR PHARR MILL ROAD PARK <br /> BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965, as amended, <br />provides for the making of grants by the national Park Service, U.S Department <br />of the Interior, to -States and to local governments in support of outdoor <br />recreation pro3ects, and such funds are available after approval of the <br />appropriate state agency and the Department of the Interior; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, adopted procedures by the State of North Caroling and the national <br />Park Service require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of <br />applications, signature authorization, and the availability of local matching <br />fund; and <br /> <br /> <br />
