Ho <br /> <br />Examples of facilities which qualify include: <br /> <br />1) Ballfields <br />2) Tennis & basketball courts <br />3) Outdoor lighting <br />4) Improvements to existing <br /> facilities <br />5) Playgrounds <br /> <br />6) Beautification projects <br />7) Hiking and jogging trails <br />8) Picnic shelters & facilities <br />9) Physical fitness courses <br />10)Mountain and BMX bike <br /> trails <br /> <br />Expendable equipment & supplies are not eligible. <br /> <br />Project funds spent pdor to application can not be included toward an <br />organization's match of county funds (exceptions: funds spent on planning, <br />architectural, engineering or related services). <br /> <br />Funds from governmental agencies cannot be used to match Incentive Grant <br />funds. Similarly, parks and recreational projects funded exclusively by the <br />county and other local governments shall not be included in this program. Such <br />projects may be considered dudng the county's annual budget process. <br /> <br />Sponsoring organizations must have a minimum of 50% of the estimated project <br />cost available at the time of application. <br /> <br />The sponsoring organization's match must be cash. In-kind services, donated <br />labor, etc. cannot be included. <br /> <br />Provisions must be made for continuing maintenance and repair of the project <br />once it is completed. <br /> <br />APPLICATION AND AWARD PROCEDtlf~E$: <br /> <br />Completed applications must be submitted to the Parks and Recreation <br />Department from July 1, 2003 through August 15, 2003. Incomplete <br />applications will not be considered. <br /> <br />Eligible applicants must be present at the August 21, 2003 Parks and <br />Recreation Commission Meeting to present their projects to the Commission. <br />Each applicant will be allotted 5 minutes for presentation purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
