Darryl Brooks, President <br />7 I0 Char Meek Lane <br />Charlotte, NC 25205 <br />Telephone: (704) 334-3473 <br />Fax: (704) 334-1172 <br /> <br />Whereas, CCTS desires to purchase transportation services at a coordinated and economical rate <br /> structure, under the terms and conditions set forth herein: and <br /> <br />Whereas, Contractor desires to provide such taanspol~ation and to enter into this Contract under the <br /> terms and conditions set fol~h herein; and desires to exercise the second of four option )'ears as <br /> prescribed herein; tu~d <br /> <br />' Whereas, CCTS and Contractor mutually desire to enter into a flexible agreement under which the)' <br /> can work together to maximi~te service quality and system efficiencs'; and to explore <br /> innovative funding and contracting meclmnim~s; with the mutual goals of establishing new <br /> transportation services and expanding mobilit)- choices within the community; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement, the following articl6s are set forth: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1. CONTRACTOR'S DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS: <br /> <br />The Contractor shall manage and operate the CCTS system throughout the term of this contract ander <br />the overall direction of the Mobilit); Management Office 0VIMO) of the Count3' Planning Services <br />Depamnent and the CCTS Transportation Advisor)' Board (TAB). Managing and operating the <br />system is understood to include employing staff and drivers; providing office and parking facilities; <br />maintainin~ scheduling and dispatching vehicles. It also includes providing all l)]~es of insunmce <br />required; maintaining financial and operating records; coordinating, schednling and providing high- <br />qualit) and efficient transportation services; and all other requirements of the RFP's Scope Of Work. <br /> <br /> It is mutually understood and agreed that should the Count), desire to partaer or find it <br />necessms' to provide an), pox~ion of the contracted elements of the CCTS operation by the <br />contractor that an appropriate adjustment to revenue roi' that segment of service will be implemented. <br /> <br /> <br />
