Gas Pipelines. ,Two large and two smaller pipelines run through Cabarrus County. <br />The Plantation Pipeline Company and the Colonial Pipeline Company both have lines that <br />carry hydrocarbons t~ough the northwest section of the county. The Plantation pipeline <br />hms under the norther~ end of Coddle Creek Reservoir (section north of Mooresville Road). <br />North Carolina Natt~l 'Gas has a pipeline that runs southeast from the Plantation.pipeline <br />generally along the 1V~,cklenburg -Cabarrus County'boundary line to Harrisburg. This line <br />then traverses the so~lthem side of'the county,, passing north of Midland and exiting into <br />Stanly County Republic Natural Gas has a spur line off the Colonial pipeline running <br />northwest out of the ~2ounty. <br /> <br /> 5. Water Distribulion. Local municipalities obtain their water supplies locally, which <br />is then treated and di~ributed to residents. <br /> <br /> a.
