Coordinate with EMS, funeral directors, <br />ambulance services, l~athologists, American Red Cross, dentists, X-ray technicians and <br />law enforcement agencies to provide support during a mass fatality incident. <br /> <br /> b. Develol~ procedures for the recovery, registration, identification and cause <br />of death of the deceased utilizing the State Medical Examiners Office as a support agency <br />when needed. Respot~d to notifications of fatalities from local authorities. Supervise the <br />location and transport_ tion of remains. <br /> <br /> c. Detemuiae cause of death, notify next-of-kin, and release the remains and <br />personal effects to proper representatives. Issue death certificates. <br /> <br /> d. Request-assistance from NC EM Division Disaster Mortuary Team, if <br />necessary. The coun~ Emergency Management Coordinator will be the point to contact <br />to obtain this support~ <br /> <br /> e.
