Fries Middle School. Since that time, additional grants
from various sources have been solicited to extend the afterschool programs to Mount
Pleasant and Concord Middle Schools. Because of our success, school administrators and
faculty have expressed interest in our continuing to offer our services to their students at
these schools. The enrollment is targeted for students who are "latchkey kids" and those
who can benefit from close interaction, assistance, and guidance with adults are interested
in their success.

Because the period of time it takes for the granting agencies to review applications
and ascertain the amount, if any, they will award to the applicants, it is necessary to apply
to a variety of agencies to ensure continued funding.

No Cabarrus County matching funds will be required for this program.

The Cabarrus County Financial Office will have financial responsibility.

L4nda F.
