DRAFT <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services <br />Lynda McDaniel <br />Assistant Secretary for Long Term Care and Family Services <br />2001 Mail Service Center <br />Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-2001 <br /> <br />Dear Ms. McDaniel: <br /> <br />On behalf of the Cabarms County Board of Commissioners, please accept this letter as <br />verification that the Cabarms County Department of Aging was appointed to serve as the <br />lead agency for the Cabarms County Long Term Care Planning Committee during our <br />regular meeting on Monday, July 21, 2003. Furthermore, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners offers this letter in support of the Cabarms County Department of <br />Aging's Statement of Interest associated with the A Communications and Coordination <br />Initiative to Strengthen Long Term Care Services project. Our appointment of the <br />Cabarms County Department of Aging as lead agency for this initiative indicates our <br />support for their staff to coordinate the Long Term Care planning initiative for the older <br />adults and disabled adults of Cabarrus County. Cabarms County remains committed to <br />providing quality services to these populations and will utilize the results fi:om any <br />studies and/or needs assessments associated with this project to develop a plan to enhance <br />Long Term Care services to our residents. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Robert M.
