6- The term of the public officials or their representative shall be <br />the duration of the term of the-publie office from which he/she was <br />elected. <br /> <br />Article IV,- <br /> <br />Board Membership <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />The Board of Directors of the Salisbury-Rowan Community Service <br />coUncil shall consist of 24 members. The representation of the Board <br />shall be a cross section of the communities in the counties served by the <br />Corporation. The. Board of Directors shall always be divisible by <br />one-third in order tO be in compliance with the applicable provisions of <br />the Federal Community Service Block Grant of 1981, and all applicable <br />State statutes. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />I. Public Sector <br /> <br />a. One-third of the total membership ofthe Board of Directors shall be <br />eomprised of elected public officials, currently holding public office, or <br />their .representatives, except that if the number of elected officials <br />reasonably available and willing to serve is less than one-third of the <br />membership of the Board. membership on the Board of appointive public <br />officials may be counted in meeting the one-third req,,irement- <br /> <br />b. Public officials shall be defined as elected officials or appointees of <br />the County Commissioners from the designated counties served by the <br />Agency.
