SectiOn $. <br /> <br />Any private eomm,,nity group or representative group of the poor which <br />feels itself inadequately represented on the Board of Directors may <br />petition for adecp,ate representation- Any such petition must be signed by <br />fifty percent of the members of the petitioning group of the bona fide <br />members 'of that group. <br />The group presenting such petition shall be promptly afforded an <br />informal open hearing before the Board to present their request. If the <br />· majority of the'membership of the Board determines that the petitioning <br />group shall be entitled to representation, a written statement of the <br />Board's action on a petition shall be submitted to the funding sources <br />offices no later that 30 days after the election of the new member (s). The <br />Board composition shall remain, one-third representative to insure <br />compliance at all times. <br /> <br />Section 6. <br /> <br />IV. Petition Procedures <br /> <br />The terms ofofflee for Board members shall be perpet~,al regardless of the <br />sector. Lt' a vacancy should occur, the Board shall petition itself to fill all. <br />vacancies. Letters should be sent to the Board Chairman and to groups <br />that represents the vacancy. <br /> <br />The Public Sector Appointments: When the letter of nomination is <br />received by the Board. it shall be aeted upon at the regular Board meeting. <br /> <br />The Private Sector Appointment: ' When the letter of appoinf,~ent is <br />received by the Board. it sh~ll be voted on at the regularly scheduled <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br />Low Income Sector Appointment: NVhen the letter of appointment is <br />received by the Board. it shall be voted on at the regularly scheduled <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br />V. Vacancies <br /> <br />Any vacancy which occurs on the Board from the Public and Private <br />Sectors, for any reason shall be filled in the same manner and by the same <br />body which originally sent a representative to that seat. Such <br />representative will serve in that position- Any vacancy which occurs on the <br /> <br /> <br />
