In developing fids concept what the.
property owners, Mr. Ewing and himself have tried to do is model:-
fids effort on what has worked at the International Business Park at,.
Concord, and that is to offer a large piece of property.that has
coherent and' cohesive 'plan pulling it together so. that' a majom~.
developer would be interested in fids property and would feel that.~
if he invests in this property and ff industrial user invests in fids
property, that their investment would be protected. That is the key
to have the kind of quality development that they want to have.
Mr. Rankin then presented their conceptual plan to the Board. He
said some of __the thin'gs that-make fids' a'piece of"property that is
conducive toward fids type of master plan are the fact that the
property is'near 1-85. He said transportation is a key component.
Other things about the property is that the infrastructure is in
place. Benefits of the plan.
