JAN-II-00 TUE 11:42 <br /> <br />P, 02 <br /> <br />January 10, 2000 <br /> <br />:Board of Commissioners <br />Cabarms County <br />Concord, North Carolina <br />Attn: Amc Fennel, Cha/rman <br /> <br />Dear Board of Commissioners; <br /> <br />We are writing to ask you to consider helping the town of Harrisburg in our <br />goal to provide some additional Soccer fields in the Harrisburg area. <br /> <br /> Currently, the Cabarrus School Board is working diligently to sell the present <br /> school property on Highway 49, which would remove some Soccer 'field <br /> from availability to the Harrisburg Youth Association, and we are trying to <br />· expedite the building of the fields on our own land in Harrisburg. <br /> <br />We have begun the work on two full size Soccer fields, which also could <br />serve as 5 or 6 junior fields. The rough grading is being provided by funds <br />fi:om B.F.I., and the Town of Harrisburg will install the sprinkler systems <br />when the rough grading is completed. We expect to have these ready for <br />use by the fall of this year. <br /> <br />Since we plan to make these available to the County Parks and Recreation <br />Department as well as the Harrisburg Youth League, we respectfully request <br />funding assistance for the fine grading, plugging, and seeding in the amount <br />orS 30,000.00. <br /> <br />Thank you for considering our request. <br /> <br />Carl L.
