(i) <br /> <br />Food Service/Refrigeration - This service shall include but not be limited <br />to, boilers, coolers, ranges, refrigerators, walk-in coolers, cookers, ovens of <br />any sort (including convection and microwave), garbage disposal and <br />compaction, fryers, rotisseries, broilers, slicers, batter mixers, all kitchen <br />appliances of whatever kind or nature, including wa,'mers, chillers, braising <br />pans, stoves, ice machines. The Child Nutrition Department of the County <br />and the City of Kannapolis shall be invoiced separately for all parts (but not <br />labor), repaired or replaced by the Department pertaining to this specific <br />category. <br /> <br /> All of the above maintenance and repair services shall hereafter be collectively <br />referred to as the "Services." <br /> <br /> 5. Department Employment/Director of Services -The Depaa'tment shall be <br />under the control and supervision of the Director of the Department (the "Director"). The <br />Director will report directly to the Superintendent of the Cabarrus Board ("Cabarrus <br />Superintendent") until such time when (and if) the County consolidates its maintenance <br />and repair services into the Depmmtent. If County consolidation occurs, the Boards and <br />the County will reevaluate the reporting requirements of the Director at that time. The <br />Director will provide written reports to the Cabarrus Superintendent at least once per <br />quarter. In the event the Director resigns, retires or is te,minated, the Superintendents of <br />the Boards will nominate and appoint a new Director who is mutually satisfactory to the <br />County and the Boards. The Cabarrus Board will provide the Director with an <br />enumeration of his responsibilities, including without limitation, monitoring all Services <br />set forth above as well as Services provided under any contract with third parties. <br /> <br /> 6. Annual Maintenance and Repair Plan - Upon execution of this <br />Agreement, the Director will be charged with the responsibility of promptly conducting a <br />survey of the School Facilities and shall use this survey in preparing an annual <br />Maintenance and Repair Plan (the "Plan") which covers the School Facilities and all <br />responsibilities set forth herein, as well as the status of completing those responsibilities <br />as of the date of the Plan. The Plan will contain the proposed Services schedule and <br />budget for the upcoming fiscal year and shall prioritize all School Facilities repair <br />projects. The Director will present the Plan to the Superintendents for the Boards (the <br />"Superintendents") by March I, 2000, and by March 1st of each year thereafter during the <br />term of this Agreement. The Plan must receive approval by the Superintendents. The <br />approved Plan will then be presented as a component of the school budget request to the <br />County Manager and the County Board of Commissioners no later than April 15, 2000; <br />and no later than April 15 of each year thereafter. <br /> <br /> 7. Funding - Implementation of this Agreement is contingent upon the <br />County Board of Commissioners allocating to each Board respectively, for each fiscal <br />year this Agreement is in effect, a minimum of $1,006.00 per pupil in each Board's <br /> <br /> <br />
