SALARY S U RVEY

The salary survey was prepared in spread-sheet format and shows the positions' title,
organizations compared, and entry level, maximum and standard job-rate salaries.

Entry Level Salaries represent the most commonly used entry level rate for the
positions. This may, or may not, be the organization's absolute minimum indicated on
their pay plan. Efforts were made to distinguish between advertised minimums and
actual recruitment rates.

Maximum Salary Levels are the tops of the salary range for the given position, or the
highest paid employee in that class.

Standard Job Rate Salary is a value that represents the most commonly occurring
salary for the class. Standard job rate can be the average salary of multiple incumbents
in a class; or, the actual salary for a single incumbent class; or, an established pay
value that an employee will achieve in a predetermined amount of time, assuming a
standard performance level. Standard job rates are not critical to making salary grade
recommendations but are useful information when considering the total compensation
outlook for an organization or a class of positions.

Statistical analysis includes the average minimum, maximum and standard job rate
salaries. And, the pementage differences between the averages and Cabarrus
County's equivalent.
