MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Date: <br />To: <br />From: <br />Subject: <br /> <br />November 15, 1999 <br />Blair Bennett, Assistant County Manager <br />Tom Dillard, Finance Director <br />Intergovernmental Transfer of surplus property <br /> <br />As you know, the Concord Library recently replaced 132 auditorium chairs. Prior to <br />sending these chairs to the annual surplus sale, I advised other department heads of their <br />availability. Twenty-five have been transferred to EMS. I also contacted the Parks and <br />Recreation Department of the City of Concord that has acquired surplus furniture items in <br />the past. Vicky Thompson of that department advised me last week that they would like <br />to have the remaining chairs for use in programs at their various sites. I believe that the <br />remaining 107 chairs would be of value to the City Parks and Recreation Department and <br />I request that the County Commissioners consider an inter-governmental transfer of this <br />property at the earliest possible time. <br /> <br />7-5 <br /> <br /> <br />
