NC 28083 <br />70.4.938.5156 Tel <br />70.4.93&6916 Fax <br /> <br /> TIME WARNER <br /> <br />CABLE <br /> <br />February I0, 1998 <br /> <br />Mr. John Day <br />Deputy County Manager <br />Cabarrus County <br />PO Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28026-0707 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Day: <br /> <br /> This letter will serve as formal communication of Time Warner Cable's intention regarding <br />a number of issues discussed during the process of renewing our cable television franchise with <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Time Warner will provide funds in the amount of seven thousand ($7000.00) dollars to <br />support the establishment of the government access channel. <br /> <br />Time Warner will continue to tape the regular meetings of the Board of County <br />Commissioners and the Board of Education and provide playback of these <br />meetings on the government access channel. <br /> <br />In the event that users of the governmental access channel desire to produce <br />additional programming using our studio facility, Time Warner Cable will conduct <br />periodic workshops to train access channel volunteers or the local franchising <br />authority's employees to use Time Wamer's existing production equipment and <br />studio facility in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Time Warner also agrees to provide, <br />without charge, a support person from the Time Warner studio staffto assist <br />government access personnel, who have completed our workshop, in the <br />production of government access programs at our present studio. <br /> <br />Subject to reasonable advance scheduling, Time Warner agrees to provide up to <br />eight hours of studio time per month during normal business hours for the <br />production of government access programming by a team of government access <br />designated personnel who have been trained in a Time Warner workshop. <br /> <br /> <br />
