EXHIBIT 2

Text Amendment C98-03 (T)

Submission Deadline for Preliminary Plats; Number of Copies Required to be Submitted

Staff recommends the following text change in order to allow more time to review and receive
comments on subdivision proposals and to obtain the required number of copies to distribute to
the development review committee.

General - The subdivider shall submit fifteen (15) copies of the preliminary plat for review by
the Planning Services Division and other agencies. The Planning Services Division must receive
these copies by the submission deadline without exception. The Planning and Zoning
Commission's current regular monthly meeting date shall serve as the deadline for scheduling
an item for consideration by the Commission at its next regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
If revisions are needed, the subdivider shall submit fifteen (15) copies of the revised preliminary
plat to the Planning Services Division no later than ten (10) days prior to the regularly
scheduled monthly meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission for which the item shall be
considered.

For example, if a developer wanted to have a subdivision proposal considered by the Planning
and Zoning Commission at the Thursday, July 16, 1998, meeting, the developer would have to
submit the preliminary plat by Thursday, June 18, 1998, - the date of the Commission's prior
monthly meeting. This would provide staff with 28 days to review and receive comments on the
proposal, return the proposal to the developer for revisions, and send each member of the
Planning and Zoning Commission a copy of the revised preliminary plat in time for the July
meeting.

Submission Deadline R>r Preliminary Plats Text Amendment
