The Midland Area Plan was adopted in <br />December 1991. Unforeseen as well as <br />anticipated changes have occurred in the area <br />since 1991. This update of the Midland Area <br />Plan was completed by planning staff after <br />studying the area and the changes that have <br />occurred, and after meeting with residents in <br />a large community meeting as well as <br />individually. This document reflects the <br />sentiments and concerns of the Midland <br />community in 1997. It will help guide <br />growth and change in the upcoming years. <br /> <br />To all those residents who contributed to the <br />plan, the Planning Services staff extends its <br />most sincere thanks. Plans based on a <br />combination of solid planning practice and <br />citizen involvement are much more likely to <br />actually make a difference than plans written <br />with one and not the other. <br /> <br />ii <br /> <br /> <br />
