CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date 2/19/96 Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Request to Establish a New lob Class <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Over the past 2-1/2 years, Utilities Position ~45-15-101-1, Maintenance <br />Mechanic I, has progressively been assigned more and more duties directly related to the operation <br />and maintenance of Coddle Creek Reservoir. As of 7/1/95 the employee in this position has been <br />responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of this facility. Clearly there have been <br />enough material changes in the nature of the duties, responsibilities, and working conditions of the <br />position to reclassify it to a different job classification in a higher salaxy grade. <br /> <br />To be able to do this, it is requested that the Board of Commissioners add the Reservoir Maintenance <br />Technician class to the County's Job Classification Schedule in Salary_ Grade 63 - retroactive to July 1, <br />1995. <br /> <br />For your reference, the current (Maintenance Mechanic I) and proposed (Reservoir Maintenance <br />Technician) job class discriptions are attached. <br /> <br />Attachments X Yes No <br /> <br />Expected Length of Presentation 1 minute <br /> <br />Has this been reviewed by the Budget Director?
