CABARI~US COLIN~ <br />NOMH C~I~OLIN~ <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />June 20, 1996 <br />7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Ms. Katherine Stafford, The Chair, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Members present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Ronald Davis, Ms. Janice <br />Harkey, Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Mr. Walter Kiefer, Mr. Benjamin Lane, and Mr. <br />Dewey Moose, Jr. Attending from the Planning, Zoning and Building Inspection <br />Department were Mr. Michael K. Downs, Zoning Administrator, Mr. Michael L. <br />Byrd, Transportation Planner and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. <br />Richard Koch, Attorney for the Plann.!~ng and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the May 16, 1996 Minutes, Ms. Harkey MOTIONED, <br />seconded by Mr. I-Iobbs to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was <br />unanimous. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />The Chair stated to the citizens that we are waiting on a couple of board members. <br />She stated that the Board is going to switch the agenda around, because we need at <br />least eight people here in order to hear the conditional use applications. Since we <br />only have seven, the Board is going to skip down to number four on the agenda, <br />Planning Board Functions: <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Zoning Arias Amendment, <br />Petition 96-03: <br /> <br />Applicant: Ferrell & Betty James <br />Request: Zoning Atlas Amendment <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from Ferrell & Betty James, Petition 96-03, PIN <br />Numbers 5518.03-39-0859 and 5519.03-20-9094, to have their property <br />located on Roberta Road at Coddle Creek rezoned from Medium <br />Density Residential to High Density Residential for general rezoning. <br /> <br /> <br />
