*Automation Enhancements <br />Support appropriations to enhance the automation capabilities of the state and counties if such <br />enhancements are consistent with plans, programs and objectives adopted by the Human Services <br />Automation Policy and Planning Council. <br /> <br />*State-Local Fundin~ <br />Support legislation to appropriate state funds to pay for any increases in the non federal share <br />of the cost of administer/rig state mandated public assistance programs. <br /> <br />*Elderly Services <br />Support increased funding for the Home and Community Care Block Grant program and <br />additional resources to support in-home services and day care for high-risk older adults in order <br />to be responsive to the increasing long-term needs of the elderly. <br /> <br />Protective Services <br />Support legislation granting immunity from personal liability to individuals, acting in good faith <br />while carrying out child protective services functions, and oppose any efforts to abolish or further <br />restrict the governmental immunity of counties. <br /> <br />*Day Care <br />Support legislation to expand quality and quantity of Day Care Services to children of North <br />Carolina. <br /> <br />*Foster Care <br />Support the appropriation of state funds to provide additional county foster care workers; receipt <br />of such funds should be optional at the county level. <br /> <br /> <br />
