Parks <br /> <br />Frank Liske Park · <br /> <br /> Frank Liske Park is located near the center of Cabarrus <br />County at 4001 S tough Road in Concord. The Park consists of <br />178 acres and offers many active and passive recreational <br />activities. <br /> In addition to the individual picnic sites and picnic <br />shelters located throughout the park there is a renovated dairy <br />barn which can be reserved by companies, schools, churches <br />and families for outings, meetings, picnics, reunions and other <br />social events. The barn area can accommodate up to 425 <br />people. An adjacent silo serves as an observation tower for <br />viewing the countryside. <br /> An 18-hole miniature golf course is a main attraction at <br />the park. Additional facilities include a six court tennis com- <br />plex, volleyball courts, horseshoes, softball fields, soccer <br />fields ~ a nature trail, a fitness ~rail and playgrounds for smaller <br />children. <br /> The 9.2 acre lake is stocked with large mouth bass. <br />bream and catfish. The lake offers the opportunity for fishing <br />and paddleboat rentals. <br /> During the past year the park has hosted the Annual <br />Indian Pow Wow, Holiday Highlights, a Revolutionary War <br />Re-enactment, a street rod car show, and several State and <br />Regional softball tournaments. <br /> A gravel parking lot and access road was built at the <br />Philip Morris Shelter during 1993-94. <br /> Total attendance at Frank Liske Park for 1993-94 was <br />156,690. <br /> <br />Available at the Park: <br />Picnic Shelters Fishing <br />Miniature Golf Baseball Field <br />Nature Trail / Fit Trail Horseshoes <br />Softball Fields Picnic Group Sites <br />Volleyball Paddleboats <br />BarnRentat .
