Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes
May 18, 1995

Page l8

permit to allow them to place an approved modular built trailer in
a more useful and visible location. He said as to their hours of
operation, they operate from 8 am to 5 pm, six days a week. Mr.
Howell said they are not intending on expanding their business or
size whatsoever, they are only asking for an appropriate building
and chance to serve their customers a little bit better.

Mr. Tony Eury, Resident, addressed the Board in opposition to this
rezoning stating the business level does not need to increase on
Robinson Church Road, if anything, it needs to decrease.

Dr. Brett Stuart, Board of Directors for Bradford Park Home
Owners Association, addressed the Board in opposition to this
rezoning stating he is here in two capacities. First, and most
importantly, is as a director on the board, he represents some 270
lots in Bradford Park. Approximately 140 are unsold still, so he is
representing Patten Corporation in that capacity. In addition, he
represents the additional home owners in Bradford Park. The area
that is being discussed tonight is directly behind the Bradford Park
development and the area is growing very rapidly in medium
density residential capacity. He said he would encourage the
board to take that into consideration and deny the petition.

Mr. Ed Small, Resident, addressed the Board in opposition stating
there is a lot of noise out there, and what Mr. Marshall has given
the board is a very good analysis is that it is not in his staffs best
interest to see that it needs to be changed from residential. He said
it is residential now, and the long term plan needs to be residential.
Mr. Small said when you look at the community instead of just one
person, he thinks it is best for the whole community at large to
leave the property residential and it needs to be held at what it is
intended to be.

Rev. Earl Helms, Resident, addressed the Board stating he is lost
for words as to what these people objections are. He said he could
not see where a man having his own property could not improve it.
Rev. Helms said why not let Mr. Plott improve his place as other
people have improved their's. He asked the board to take into
consideration Mr. Plott's rezoning.
