Cabarrus County <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Received an(J processed Management Information System (MIS) monthly reports at <br />Centralina and submitted to the Division of Aging. <br /> <br />SENIOR COMMUNITYSERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br />Entered and/or updated enrollee information and prepared Monthly Progress Report to <br />the Division of Aging. <br /> <br />LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM <br /> <br />Produced Ombudsman Outlook, a newsletter for volunteers, facilities, and interested <br />individuals on long term care topics. <br /> <br />Provided Leadership training for Community Advisory Committee officers. Provided <br />technical assistance on preparing their annual report for County Commissioners. <br /> <br />Worked with facility administrators, residents and families to resolve grievances. <br /> <br />Planning Activitie~ <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Americans with Disabilities Act - Continued to provide technical <br />assistance to the county regarding barrier removal plans, transportation and employment <br />issues. <br /> <br />Regional Activities <br /> <br />Solid Waste Management - The December meeting of the Solid Waste Managers, <br />Recycling Coordinators, and Public Works Personnel was canceled due to the holidays. <br /> <br />Building Permit Project - Preparation of Quarterly Report. Collection of 1990-92 information <br />ongoing. <br /> <br />Data Center - Continued to monitor and collect statistical information .relating to <br />municipalities and counties within the Region and State. Disseminated information upon <br />request to local governments and private sector. Began efforts to develop County Profiles <br />of statistical information. <br /> <br />Regional Planners Meeting - The quarterly regional planners meeting was held. James <br />Cox of Monroe and Kathi Ingrish of Matthews gave an overview of how their respective <br />jurisdictions accommodate adult uses in their zoning ordinances. <br /> <br />Emer_oency Services Activities <br /> <br />Continued work with the EMS Study Committee <br /> <br />Attend criminal justice summit in Cabarrus Co. Attending this meeting were criminal <br />justice officials, elected officials and citizens. <br /> <br /> <br />
