Centers and Corridors Land Use Vision <br /> <br />Recognize the relationship between required transportation and infra- <br />structure investments and development activity and land use - and the <br />high cost of low-density sprawl versus the lower cost of higher-density <br />corridor developments. Local governments should work in harmony to <br />preserve transit rights-of-way for future light rail transit in the corridors. <br /> <br />Higher-density residential, high traffic-generating commercial develop- <br />ments, and civic, cultural, sports, and other facilities should be located <br />along or in close proximity to the major corridors in order to designate <br />areas to absorb growth. <br /> <br />continued next page <br /> <br /> <br />
