Day, Budget Officer/~/c/c4/ <br />August 11, 1993 <br /> <br />RE: Fire Inspections <br /> <br />Attached are documents to provide for fire inspections as required by the N.C. building codes. <br />The contract between the County and the City of Concord (introduced on p. 132 of the <br />preliminary budget) provides for the city to perform the inspections in the unincorporated areas <br />for a payment of $34,000. The fee will be renegotiated next June based on inspection fees <br />received. All inspections will be coordinated with the County Fire Marshall. <br /> <br />Also, a new fire code is attached, which reflects changes in state building codes and provides for <br />inspection fees and penalties. <br /> <br />Adoption is recommended. <br /> <br />JDD/be <br /> <br /> Office of the County Manager <br />P.O.
