CONTRACT TO PROVIDE COUNTY FIRE INSPECTIONS <br /> <br />AND CODE ENFORCEMENT <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />This contract, made and entered into this day of ., <br />19 , by and between the City of Concord, a municipal corporation, <br />hereinafter called the city, and the County of Cabarrus, <br />hereinafter referred to as the County: <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />That for and in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter <br />contained, and pursuant to authority granted by G.S. 160A-460-464 <br />do hereby covenant and agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City agrees to furnish and provide fire inspections and code <br />enforcement to all occupancies as described in Volume V of the <br />North Carolina Fire Prevention Code Sections 102 and 103, within <br />the County lying outside the boundaries of the city by conducting <br />the inspections in conformity with the inspection schedule <br />described in Section 107. <br /> <br />2. The Cit~ agrees to collect all applicabl~ fees and/or fines and <br />provide a copy of said collections to the County. Fire code <br />violations resulting in the issuance of civil and/or criminal <br />penalties will be reported to the Chief of the district where the <br />violation(s) occurs and to the County Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />3. The City agrees to notify the chief of the volunteer fire <br />department in whose jurisdiction inspections are being conducted. <br />The Chief of the volunteer department or his designee may accompany <br />the fire inspector while conducting the inspections at a time to be <br />determined by the fire inspector. <br /> <br />4. Th~ city will provide a copy of the fire inspection report to <br />the volunteer fire chiefs for occupancies in their district and to <br />the County Fire Marshal on a monthly basis except serious <br />violations will be reported immediately. <br /> <br />5. At the end of the contract year, the City will evaluate the fees <br />collected and the contract amount and may renegotiate the contract <br />amount accordingly with consideration being given to the revenues <br />colleqted through f~es and penalties. <br /> <br /> <br />
