ACTIVITIES <br />AND <br />SERVICES: <br /> <br />FUNDING:' <br /> <br />The primary delivery system for services to small <br />businesses and individuals will be the Charlotte Minority <br />Business Development Center (CMBDC). Approved by the <br />U. S. Dept. of Commerce, the CMBDC's main focus is to <br />help develop, implement, advocate and coordinate <br />programs and activities established to increase minority <br />participation and business success. <br /> <br />The CMBDC will offer comprehensive services to meet <br />specific needs in the following categories: Business <br />Consultation, Business Planning, Procurement, Loan <br />Packaging and other related services and activities that will <br />contribute to program needs. <br /> <br />The cost to fund the program is $20-$25,000 annually. A <br />pro-rata share will be determined by the volume of <br />participation and service provided. <br /> <br />A partial list of Task Force participants include: <br /> Cabarrus Minority Business Council <br /> Wachovia Bank and Trust <br /> Troy Watson, Exec. Director - CABL <br /> Concord-Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce <br /> Barber-Scotia College <br /> <br />The Task Force is also seeking representation from all area <br />banks, colleges and local newspapers. <br /> <br />CABARRUS MINORITY BUSINESS COUNCIL · ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT · SMALL CITIES PROGRAM <br /> <br /> <br />
