NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />will hold a public hearing at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 3, 1992, to consider the <br />adoption of the Cabarrus County Road Name and Address Display Ordinance. The <br />hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Meeting Room on the second floor of the <br />Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord, N. C. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the Ordinance is to provide a uniform system of road addresses <br />for all properties and buildings to facilitate the provision of public safety and emergency <br />response services and to minimize the difficulty in locating properties and buildings for <br />public service agencies and the general public. The uniform addressing system, which <br />will be administered by the County Planning, Zoning, and Building Inspection <br />Department, is a fundamental part of the Enhanced 911 Emergency Communications <br />System scheduled for implementation on October 1, 1992. <br /> <br /> Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for public inspection in the Office <br />of the County Manager and the Planning, Zoning, and Building Inspection Department <br />on Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. All citizens are invited to <br />attend this hearing and present comments relative to the adoption of the proposed <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />This the 23rd day of January, 1992. <br /> <br />Carolyn B.
