If Caterer <br />fails to deliver adequate amounts of food as ordered, the <br />Purcbn.~_r may request that any omissions in delivery be provided <br />by the caterer. If there is insufficient time for the Caterer to <br />deliver the omissions on the same day before serving time, then <br />the Purchn~-er shall have the right to purchase the c~,~arable <br />food items from another source and to receive an amount of <br />reimbursement or credit on the Caterer's invoice equal to the <br />Purcba-~_r,s expense for obtaining these food items. <br /> <br />If the shortage or omission cannot be made up by the Caterer by <br />serving time on the same day and if the Program is not able to <br />purcba.~e the needed food items, then the shortage or omission of <br />the specific food item (meat, vegee~ble, bread, dessert or milk) <br />will constitute a shortage of entire meal(s) and the cost of <br />these meals may be deducted from the Caterer's bill accora~ngly. <br />Cost of the meals shall be the contract price including ~x plus <br />total administrative expenses figur_~__ per meal. This cost shall <br />be the total unit cost established in the Invitation for Bid <br />Proposal submitted to Centralina Council of Gove~,~nts by the <br />~_barrus County Depak U~nt of Aging. <br /> <br />Meals shall be prepared under properly controlled temperatures. <br />After preparation of meals, they must be packaged, delivered to <br />sites for consolation within thrcc hours. Caterer will take and <br />record temperatures of food before it is placed in the holding <br />equipment. Recorded temperatures will be kept on file until the <br />end of the contract period and made available to the Purcba~_r <br />for review. <br /> <br />Assembled meals shall be held in properly refrigerated and heated <br />ar~n~ that ~t sanitation standards. ~ne Caterer will be <br />responsible for maintaining hot foods at 140F degrees or above, <br />and cold foods at 45F degrees or below during delivery. <br /> <br />All meals must be delivered to all sites in Cabarrus County <br />between 9:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. If the time schedule is not met <br />by twenty minutes, the Program may purcbn-~e meals from an <br />alternate source and charge the meal cost plus relat~ expenses <br />to the Caterer. Alternately, the Program may elect to accept <br />meals delivered more than twenty minutes late to a site, but <br />Purcbn.~_r shall only to pay for the number of meals that can be <br />served to the Program participants still in atten~nnce at the time <br />of meal delivery. If meals are delivered too late to meet DOA <br />guidelines within the thru_ hour preparation limit, purcbn~_r <br />will not be obligated to pay for any meals for any day that shall <br /> <br /> <br />
