Such reimbursement is not re- <br /> ~uired after the period of time specified in <br /> accordance with (i) above. <br /> I (9) Confflict of Interes~ <br /> <br /> I (i) In the procurement of supplies, equip- <br /> ment, constructlon~ and services By <br /> the Recipient, and by Subrecipients <br /> [including those specified at Section <br /> I 570.204 (c),the conflict of interest <br /> apply. <br /> I cases governed by 24 CFR <br /> <br /> provisions of this section shall <br /> apply. Such cases include the acqui- <br /> Isition and disposition of real prop- <br /> by the Recipient, by its Subrecip- <br /> <br /> I and other private entities under <br /> eligible activities which authorize <br /> such assistance (e.g., rehabilitation, <br /> <br /> private -properties or facillties <br /> pursuant to Section 5?0.202, or <br /> grants, loans and other assistance to <br /> businesses, individuals and other <br /> private entities pursuant to Section <br /> I 570.203, Section 570.204 or Section <br /> 5?0.455). <br /> <br /> (b) Conflicts urohiblted. Except for the use of <br /> i CDBG fUnds to pay salaries and other related <br /> paragraph (c) of this sect£on who exercise or <br /> <br /> ties with respect to COBG act~¥1tiee assisted <br /> under th~s part or who are in a position to <br /> participate in a decision-making process or <br /> i gain inside information with regard to such <br /> activities, may obtain a personal or flnan- <br /> cia1 interest or benefit from a CDBG assisted <br /> activity, or have an interest in any con- <br /> <br /> i tract, subcontract or agreement with respect <br /> thereto, or the proceeds thereunder, either <br /> for themselves or those with whom they have <br /> family or business ties, during their tenure <br /> or for one year thereafter. For the UDAG <br />I program, the above restrictions shall apply <br /> to al~ activities that are a part of the UDAG <br /> pro~ect, and shall cover any such interest or <br /> benefit during, or at any time after, such <br />i person's tenure. <br /> (c) Persons covere~.
