B. Review of Historical Volume Data <br /> i CDM will revieTM historical solid waste volumetric data available for the <br /> Cabarrus County sanitary landfill from 1984 to the present. CD/~I will <br /> I identify the quantity of waste being generated by the municipalities and <br /> through the franchised collection system (i.e., residentially generated <br /> I . waste), as well as the quantity generated from commercial and industrial <br /> sources. CDM will also assess the impact of the City of Concord's decision <br /> I to send residential and commercial waste to the Charlotte Motor Speedway <br /> landfill. Part of the analysis will also include estimating that portion <br /> of the waste stream which is currently being recycled by <br /> I commercial/industrial sources and by the County and City of Concord's <br /> curbside recycling programs, which will not be reflected in future waste <br /> I quantity projections. <br /> <br /> I C. Review of Prior Studies and Reports <br /> <br /> CDM will review the County's previous solid waste reports that are <br /> I applicable as background information for completing this project. <br /> Applicable document~ include the Recycling Study, the Waste-to-Energy <br /> I . Feasibility Study, the Landfill Expansion Plans, and the Methane Gas <br /> Migration Study. <br /> <br />I D. Inventory of Disposal Sites and Related Facilities <br /> <br /> I CDM will develop a list of all existing sanitary and demolition debris <br /> landfills, public container sites, and other related waste handling <br /> I facilitie~ with the aid of Cabarrus County staff, staff from the four <br /> incorporated municipalities, and private industry staff. CDM will visit, <br /> accompanied by the appropriate jurisdictional staff, and inventory all <br />I waste handling facilities. <br /> <br /> i E.
