Recommendations for changes, if any, in the <br /> I current ordinances will be made based on the development of plan <br /> aitematives. <br /> I TASK H -- DETERMINATION OF QUAI~'I'iT~' AND CHARACTER OF <br /> WAST~ STREAM <br /> ! <br /> ^¢curacy in the e~timates of the waste quantities and their characteristics is <br /> important to the planning and development of processing and disposal <br /> facilities. These estimates form the basis for facility design, total system <br /> <br /> I evaluation, cost estimates, and also provide a basis for contractual <br /> commitments'that affect the financial feasibility of a solid waste management <br /> plan. In this task, CDM will: <br /> ! <br /> ^. I~timate the quantity of wastes prasently being disposed of at the County's <br /> sanitary landfill using the information generated in Task I. If sufficient <br /> information can be obtained from municipal and private sources, an estimate <br /> of the amount of Cabarrus County waste being disposed of at the CMS <br /> landfill will also be made.
